I thought it was very nice to read that others share the same feelings I have towards man’s best friend. A happy dog is one that feels like your best friend. Let’s face it, would you invite a human buddy over and then make him sit on the floor? When the dog feels more equal, you can feel the extra energy in their step. The thing that comes to mind is the “dad’s chair” concept, and animals have that same attachment.
It is definitely a necessity for older dogs. It seems the bigger dogs really start to have hip problems as they hit the later years.
